Addleshaw Goddard has lost its third partner in four months, this time to Leeds-based practice Lee & Priestley.
Corporate partner Jonathan Priestley resigned from Addleshaw Goddard in December and joined his new firm, which was founded by his grandfather in 1901, this month.
Priestley’s departure from Addleshaw Goddard follows property partner Mark Gaffney who left for the Liverpool office of Mace & Jones and corporate expert Simon Walker who now practices at Davies Arnold Cooper earlier this year.
Lee & Priestley is continuing to make a push into commercial work which it hopes will gain from Priestley’s experience in venture capital, private equity and corporate finance work.
Jonathan Oxley corporate partner at Lee & Priestley, said: “This is part of a push to build a corporate practice on the front end of the practice, while losing high street conveyancing off the back.”
