Laytons Solicitors has bulked up its employment team with the recruitment of Rosenblatt Solicitors' head of employment Keith Corkan as a partner.
Laytons chief executive partner Richard Kennet said that Corkan would spearhead the firm's push in the international market.
Corkan, who joined Rosenblatt from Collyer Bristow in 2003, said: "It is a very exciting move. This is a larger firm with a more substantial international practice."
Kennet said: "Keith's international experience and connections will bring added weight to Laytons' already strong international corporate and commercial practice."
Corkan works across a range of employment issues with a particular focus on European restructuring for multi-national companies.
He is a board member of the human resources section of the International Bar Association, chair of the employment committee at the British American Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the employment committee of the New York Bar Association.
Rosenblatt's employment team will now be led by associate Andrea London, who joined from Cumberland Ellis in 2005. The firm pledged to expand the employment group in the coming year.
