16 firms took part in a six-hour knock-out pool contest, which saw Pannone & Partners lose the final to Halliwell Landau. "We were surprised by a larger than expected turn-out, obviously reflecting the degenerate background of Manchester's lawyers," said organiser Nick Lees from recruitment firm Anakin Seal.
