Lawrence Graham has become the latest law firm to consider taking space at SE1 development More London.
Partners at the firm last week voted through the decision to continue talks with More London. Lawrence Graham’s possible choice of new home could see the firm become potential new neighbours to Norton Rose, which entered exclusive negotiations with More London on 2 April.
However the firm is understood to be still negotiating with other possible landlords.
Lawrence Graham is looking for just over 100,000 sq ft of space with the option to take up to 150,000 sq ft over the next 10 years. The firm has to vacate its current premises by 2007.
Such a move would see a considerable increase in overheads for Lawrence Graham, which is known to pay a relatively low rate for its current premises on The Strand. The firm is also understood to have looked at One London Wall, home to US firm Dewey Ballantine but has subsequently ruled it out.
More London is a 13-acre development, which overlooks Tower Bridge. It is also houses Ernst & Young’s new headquarters and Greater London Authority City Hall.
