Law360 Rising Stars list recognises Hogan Lovells partner Mike McGill

Hogan Lovells has announced that Washington DC partner Mike McGill has been named on this year’s Law360 Rising Stars list, which recognises lawyers under the age of 40 with impressive legal accomplishments in their respective practice areas.

McGill, a member of the government regulatory practice, was recognised in the Government Contracts category.

He was selected for, among other things, his role in several prominent firm matters, including successfully defending the Department of Defense’s decision to award a reportedly $4.6bn (£3bn) Global Information Grid contract to client Lockheed Martin in a Government Accountability Office (GAO) bid protest filed by a competitor; successfully challenging at GAO an army decision to award Afghanistan intelligence support contracts to a competitor of client Mission Essential Personnel; and settling a dispute for client EADS over the termination for convenience of a $35bn US Air Force contract to replace the military’s ageing fleet of in-flight refuelling tankers.
