The Law Society is increasing pressure on Kamlesh Bahl after council members voted to suspend the vice-president.At a meeting on 16 March, members of the council opted for suspension until the middle of next month when there will be a vote to remove Bahl from her position on the council of the society. The move comes after an inquiry led by former Law Lord Lord Griffiths upheld five complaints of bullying and harassment made against Bahl by Law Society staff.Bahl has since retaliated, stating that she is the victim of racial and sexual discrimination.According to a Law Society spokesman, neither Bahl, her lawyer Jill Andrews or counsel Cherie Booth QC attended the voluntary meeting. The Law Society rejects the allegations made by Bahl.
