  • The Law Society and the SRA are, both in my personal experience as a solicitor, and by reputation across the profession, utterly inadequate as regulatory/disciplinary bodies. What a shame they don't devote even a tiny proportion of the effort directed at this nonsense towards routing out the myriad of dishonest and incompetent practicing solicitors. More power to this website; if the "proper" system is so wholly wanting, it is perfectly reasonable that other methods of exposing bad solicitors will emerge. The Law Soc has been given ample opportunities over many years to put its own house in order, and has willfully failed to do so. It ill befits them to start whinging now.

  • Why should solicitors be immune from bad publicity when they have performed improperly?
All power to Mr Kordowski's elbow. He is doing the public a great service and his voice must not be crushed by the power of the Legal hierarchy.

  • This website was here for a {GOOD} reason, and the reason I am here is because someone I love was severely affected by a solicitor named herein, LONG MAY IT LAST!!!

  • The time has surely arrived for the Law Society and the Bar, including the rest of the phony watch dogs to be brought before a JURY for their gross abuse of Public money in investigating very little. Rick Kordowski a champion for the porrest sections of society who cannot obtain Legal Aid from anyone. These people are worse than the MPs Expenses scandal. Leave this fine upstanding gentleman alone. Raymond Ashley

  • Well said Raymond Ashley.
A jury is the ordinary mans only hope of ever achieving justice against this corrupt and evil incestuous 'system' that the British public have been lumbered with whilst they slept.
Wake up time is long overdue.

  • Websites such as "Solicitors from Hell" do an enormous public good. When, as I have, you have experienced corruption involving GP's, consultants, solicitors, insurance companies, the police, MP's, anything that publicises wrong-doing is to be commended.
Whilst so many are complaining about law firms, few seem to ask what is the reason for the action (or non-action) of the firm or solicitor complained about. Consider for example, solicitors' failure to obtain medical records and other documents in a personal injury case, or their failure to follow your instruction in any case. If this has happened to you, ask yourself (1) what are they keeping from you (2) what could they be trying to hide ? If you can find this information, surely you will be well on your way to establishing a solicitor's negligence, or even criminality? Unfortunately I have no idea what you do if you have got this far, who to turn to for help - this, clearly, is why I praise the "Solicitors from Hell" website because if you cannot do anymore to help yourself, you at least can vent-off on that web site - truthfully, calmly and without the use of expletives!

  • haha... Law Society cannot stand the truth. There are a lot of terrible solicitors out there and the public have a right to know who to avoid.

  • Like the saying goes..........the truth hurts. Solicitors and Baristers are there to make sure the law is obeyed. and that includes them too. Keep up the good work Mr Kordwoski.name and shame.

  • The move comes after High Court judge Mr Justice Henrique said that both the Law Society and Bar Council should investigate defamation complaints about the website. What about investigating your own background Mr Henrique?

The website claims to give consumers a forum in which they can publicly name and shame solicitors who, they allege, have provided a poor service. The website’s coordinator Rick Kordowski is facing about 15 libel law suits from solicitors.

This is the problem with self regulation, lawyers can take Mr Kordowski to court for defamation but would any member of the public be able to get a lawyer to sue another lawyer on their behalf. The legal profession are making a big mistake, because if they succeed other websites will spring up. Self regulation is the reason for solicitors from hell existing, legitimate complaints channels are simply corrupt.

Victory to Rick Kordowski, and victory to freedom of expression.
