Law Soc hits out at IT grumblers

Regarding your piece - Software suppliers in fury over Law Society IT guide (The Lawyer, 17 November) - the Law Society is entirely unconcerned that legal software suppliers not featured in the guide are upset.

If a software company did not meet the criteria set for this guide and were not prepared to work with the smallest firms - tough.

It is not the Law Society's job to mollycoddle the software industry. If the unsuccessful companies feel they are so good then they will survive with or without our support.
