Walker Morris launches 19th Children's Calendar Printing Competition
Walker Morris has launched the 2013 Children’s Calendar Printing Competition, which is now in its 19th year.
Primary schoolchildren from across the Yorkshire, Humber and north-east Lincolnshire region are being encouraged to enter the competition to have their paintings become part of the specially created Walker Morris Children’s Charity Calendar.
The law firm is inviting all children aged between five and 11 to win prizes for both themselves and their schools by painting a picture of their favourite month of the year. Winning entries will be used to produce a calendar, which will be sold in aid of Yorkshire’s Martin House Children’s Hospice.
The 13 winners of the competition, judged by artist Ashley Jackson, will each receive a ‘treasure chest’ of artists’ materials along with a cheque for £250 for their schools. There are also prizes for runner-up artists.
To enter, children must send their pictures to Walker Morris with completed entry forms before the competition closing date of 19 July.
