DLA Piper wins Euromoney Middle East Deal of the Year 2012
Etihad Airways and DLA Piper have won Euromoney’s Air Finance Journal award for the 2012 Middle East Deal of the Year in relation to the secured loan and equity purchase of Etihad’s acquisition of a stake in Air Berlin.
Corporate and aviation partners Jon Hayes and Mark Franklin led the deal, with support in particular from Ciaran Stone in corporate, Kate Vernon on EU competition, and Graham Tyler and Adam Beavill on finance in the UK and Dr Benjamin Parameswaran, Dr Ludger Giesberts, Dr Daniel Sharma and Dr Andreas Meyer-Landrut in Germany.
