DLA Piper and RBS host networking event in support of Oxfam's Get Together campaign
DLA Piper and RBS employees joined together to host a networking evening on 7 March in support of Oxfam’s Get Together campaign — celebrating International Women’s Day (8 March) and raising money for the charity’s work with women and girls in Niger and Rwanda.
Hosted by Oxfam supporter, broadcaster and writer Lauren Laverne, the event featured speeches from Tony Angel, joint global chairman and senior partner at DLA Piper; Susan Allen, chief executive officer of the RBS Customer Solutions Group; and Sue Turrell, deputy international director of Oxfam.
The evening included a raffle and a silent auction with the aim of raising £10,000 on the night for Oxfam’s work with businesswomen in Rwanda and girls in Niger, helping them to receive a better education.
In addition, the evening included drinks, canapés, a private tour of the Museum of London and a pop-up shop. Proceeds from the pop-up shop went to Oxfam.
