Winckworth Sherwood comments on £15m Del Monte divorce settlement

The ex-wife of Del Monte’s chief executive and chairman has agreed to a divorce settlement of £15 million.

Lisa Tchenguiz, 48, married Vivian Imerman in 2001 but they split up eight years later. The couple signed a prenuptial agreement when they originally married, which determined that she would not be entitled to claim his wealth if they parted company.

However, the value of Mr Imerman’s fortune went up significantly when they were together. Ms Tchenguiz’s brothers subsequently obtained documents from her ex-husband’s computer which detailed the extent of his wealth to argue that she was actually entitled to receive a £100 million divorce settlement…
