US announces new thresholds for merger control notifications and unlawful interlocking directorates
The US has announced new thresholds for merger control notifications (Hart-Scott-Rodino) and unlawful interlocking directorates (section 8). From 11 February 2013, the initial threshold for HSR will be $70.9m (£44.8m). In addition, effective immediately, the threshold for capital, surplus and undivided profits is $28,883,000 and the threshold for competitive sales is $2,888,300.
