Following the so-called “shareholder spring” that marked last year’s AGM season, executive pay is likely to remain a hot topic in 2013. Investors look set to continue to hold companies to account where they perceive executive pay is excessive or not linked clearly to performance.
At the same time, the government continues to press ahead with its plans to give shareholders a greater say on pay and improve transparency. The new executive pay framework will apply to listed companies (not AIM) and is expected to come into force on 1 October 2013…
