King & Wood Mallesons wins two categories at Global Competition Review Awards 2013
King & Wood Mallesons’ competition team has been recognised at the Global Competition Review Awards 2013 in Washington DC. The firm won two deal awards at the event, which recognises the strategic, creative and innovative work of individuals and teams in the areas of competition and antitrust throughout 2012.
Sharon Henrick, head of King & Wood Mallesons’ competition law and regulatory group, was recognised for her role on Nestlé’s acquisition of Pfizer’s Infant Nutrition business, which won Merger Control Matter of the Year — Asia, Middle East and East Africa.
Wayne Leach, a partner in the firm’s competition law and regulatory group, was recognised for his role on the Glencore/Xstrata merger, which was voted Merger Control Matter of the Year — Europe.
Earlier this month, the competition team was named Australian Competition Law Firm of the Year by Lawyers World magazine.
A number of its partners have also been recognised as leading practitioners by Best Lawyers.
