'Australia in the Asian Century' white paper implementation plan
The federal government has now released its implementation plan as a follow-up to the release of the ‘Australia in the Asian Century’ white paper in October 2012.
At the time of the release of the White Paper in October 2012, the Federal Government was praised for starting the conversation about Australia’s interaction with Asia and setting targets for the country to achieve by 2025. However, there was widespread criticism that the White Paper lacked detail of how the 25 national objectives of the White Paper would be implemented and the financial support for the implementation.
