Ill-health early retirement under the LGPS
A recent determination by the Pensions Ombudsman upheld a complaint by a deferred member of the LGPS, who was denied an ill-health early retirement pension on the basis that the certified independent registered medical practitioner (IRMP) had stated that there were untried treatments available.
