  • I too was a partner with Andrew Shaw at Dallas Brett in Oxford. He is an honourable man.

I find it difficult to comprehend how one can serve a demanding client and the public interest at the same time in the circumstances Andrew found himself in. The procedures need to be reviewed.

To take someones livelihood away while an appeal is pending is indeed very curious and unfair.

I was banned from driving by the Willesden magistrates for having hit twelve points - but the sentence (as a matter of course) did NOT apply pending my appeal - which in the event was successful.

  • Procedures certainly need to be reviewed. To have Andrew Shaw struck off pending appeal is extreme. Andrew Shaw served me and several colleagues at Tribunal hearings very successfully. We recognized him as a lawyer of integrity, sound judgement and expertise. There is something deeply disturbing about this case.
