  • There's no story here.

All the Senior Partner is saying that in the future, he would like there to be more trainees! Every firm would surely like their business to grow, leading to them taking on more trainees.

Another non-story about Bond Dickinson Dees.

  • Yet another "Where's the story?" Bond Dickinson press release.

  • It's very nice to say that Dickie Dees had a higher retention rate last year.

The year before they had 36% which was the worst of all the major law firms in the UK. The year before they had the second worst retention rate. They deserve recognition for improving, but also for being woeful in earlier years.

  • Spoiler: No new training contracts are being offered.

Poor show DD, exploiting the anxiety of thousands of law students to get a few lines of publicity.

  • So has there been an increase?

Probably not. Still it made for a good headline.
