Latham steers piaggio share offering

Latham & Watkins advised scooter manufacturer Piaggio, the maker of the iconic Vespa, on its f315m (£214.95m) global offering of almost 119 millon ordinary shares, plus almost 18 million additional ordinary shares (pursuant to an overallotment option exercised on 18 July 2006). Piaggio was advised by London-based corporate partner Michael Immordino. Milan firm D’Urso Munari Gatti Studio Legale advised on the Italian retail tranche of the global offering, led by Andrea Bartolucci, one of the firm’s two partners. Linklaters advised the joint bookrunners Banca Caboto, Citigroup Global Markets, Deutsche Bank, Lehman Brothers International (Europe) and Mediobanca, led by Rome capital markets partner Luigi Sensi.
