The Frankfurt office of Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy has lost one of its star partners to Latham & Watkins.
Leveraged finance specialist Christina Ungeheuer is set to join Latham later this year. Her clients include financial institutions, private equity houses and corporations, which she advises on acquisition financings and a variety of non-recourse transactions and syndicated loans.
Prior to joining Milbank, Ungeheuer was a partner in the banking and finance department at Baker & McKenzie.
Hans-Jürgen Lütt, Latham & Watkins’ Frankfurt Office managing partner, said the firm needed additional leveraged finance expertise in Germany because of the opportunities for growth, both domestically and internationally, in the M&A and private equity markets.
“The addition of Christina to the team, with her strong ties to the German acquisition finance market and to international lenders, will greatly enhance our ability to serve our clients on leverage financing matters,” he added. Milbank was not available for comment.
