Latham promotes two in London as part of 23-strong global round

The number of lawyers making partner in Latham & Watkins’ London office have dropped from six last year down to two this year.

This year finance lawyer Vladimir Maly and corporate lawyer Rory Negus were both made up.
In total the firm promoted 23 across its global network compared to 30 in 2008. In 2007 the firm promoted a total of 26 globally.
Latham managing partner Robert Dell said: “The group represents attorneys across a range of transactional, litigation and regulatory practice areas whose market knowledge and industry expertise will benefit our clients.”
Latham’s European network received a total of eight promotions this year with Frankfurt, Hamburg and Munich all adding one to the partnership and Paris adding three.
The firm’s Washington DC office gained the most new partners in the network, receiving a total of six this year.
