Bill O'Neill has a practice focused on acting for private equity funds and public companies conducting mergers, asset purchases and dispositions, stock acquisitions, leveraged buyouts and spinoffs.
His move to Latham fills the gap left when corporate partner Bruce Rosenblum left the office to become a partner at client private equity fund Carlyle Group.
O'Neill's previous clients include Ford Motors, United Technologies, Mobil Corporation, SBC Communications and GEC-Marconi.
Head of Latham's Washington DC office Eric Bernthal says: "Bill gives us terrific senior depth in the private equity area. We do a lot of work for Carlyle and we thought that Bill would be an excellent addition in order to carry on that work."
