Last derivatives partner abandons B & M

Highly rated derivatives and structured finance partner Schuyler Henderson is leaving Baker & McKenzie after 10 years to join Norton Rose early in the new year.

Just under a month ago David Green, a banking and finance partner at Baker & McKenzie also left the firm to join Goldman Sachs International as senior derivatives counsel.

Henderson claims that his and Green departures will leave no specialist derivative partners at Baker & McKenzie.

However this was vigorously denied by Chris Hogan, head of the banking and finance department at Baker & McKenzie. Joining Henderson at Norton Rose's capital markets group is Vincent Keaveny, currently a senior associate at Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft, who will become a partner when he joins the firm in the new year.
