Lariam claims discontinued

I refer to the claims section of the 21 February edition of The Lawyer on page 25.

You report that a woman named Rebecca Shaw has launched proceedings against her doctor and Roche Products in connection with the anti-malarial drug Lariam.

However, Shaw discontinued her claim approximately two years ago. What has happened is that the case, and a number of other discontinued Lariam cases, has been transferred to the Royal Courts of Justice for the purpose of dealing with legal aid costs.
