Lovells' Paris office is set to boost its public law capability with the hire of a team from Landwell Global
Bruno Cantier, Ludovic Babin and Perrine Limousin will be joining a team headed by projects partner Jacques de Ballandard. Lovells managing partner Robert Follie told The Lawyer that the firm had identified administrative law as a target for some time. "It was missing in our armoury," he said. "The administrative law aspect for project finance and industries, such as energy and telecoms, is very important." The team will join as associates with a view to building up the practice from scratch. Because public law does not command the same premium rates as M&A, Lovells targeted younger teams. Follie said: "You can't bill the same sort of fees."
