Landmark Chambers has hired its first ever chief executive as a trio of chambers make new appointments to the role.
Joel Hagan joins from the BBC, where he was head of the technology division’s consulting practice. His arrival follows last year’s appointment of Chris Bean, the ex-head of business development at Lawrence Graham, as marketing director.
Landmark’s decision to bring in a chief executive comes just over two years after its formation through the merger of Eldon Chambers and 4 Breams Buildings.
Meanwhile, Chris Owen joins Lincoln’s Inn set 11 New Square after 10 months as a consultant at Bridewell Chambers. He will also be his set’s first chief executive.
Head of chambers Hedley Marten said he “had every expectation” that Owen’s hire would help the set develop.
And in Bristol, St John’s Chambers has chosen Vincent Denham to become its new chief executive, replacing Kate Blackburn. Denham joins after a stint acting as Australian firm Piper Alderman’s national business development director. Denham has previously been chief executive of St Philips Chambers in Birmingham and of Westminster law firm RadcliffesLeBrasseur.
