A switched-on, internationally-minded PR at the US firm is highly commended by Tulkinghorn for propagating the stereotype of Americans as world geography ignoramuses and displaying all the world nous of George W Bush.

Buried somewhere among the inane drivel directed towards one of Tulkinghorn’s hacks last week was this gem: “Blah blah blah… our Chinese offices, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Tokyo.”
