Lalive boosts Zurich with Schindler GC

Daniel Bühr is joining Lalive as a counsel in Zurich after spending the past five years developing Schindler’s European in-house team.

Lalive partner Domitille Baizeau said Bühr would bring increased commercial expertise to the firm, particularly in the areas of compliance and competition.

Although Lalive made its name as a Geneva-based arbitration and litigation boutique, it has been growing a full-service capability in recent years - it opened in Zurich in February 2010 partly to expand its ­commercial work.

Schindler has not replaced Bühr, but Daniel de ­Feydeau, general counsel for Schindler Management, will be taking over his responsibilities for the time being.
