Italian employment boutique Lablaw has expanded into Padua through bolting on a three-lawyer team headed by partner Stefano Barillari.
The Padua office is Lablaw’s third, following from its establishment in Milan and then Rome in 2009.
Managing partner Luca Failla said Lablaw wanted to be able to work with clients in the industrial north of Italy directly.
“It’s not easy for an employer to find a high-quality service provided by lawyers in different cities from Milan and Rome,” Failla told The Lawyer.
Failla added that Lablaw planned to expand the Padua office to 10 lawyers within the next year, and future expansion across Italy was likely. “Our development project isn’t finished with Padua,” he said.
Last week Lablaw, which is a member of employment law network L&E Global, was named Italian firm of the year at The Lawyer European Awards 2011 in Geneva (30 September 2011).
