L2B event caters to mature applicants

The Lawyer’s sister title Lawyer 2B is launching a new event for mature applicants.

’Not too Late for Law’, to be hosted in conjunction with the College of Law’s Moorgate branch, is aimed at anyone who is seriously considering retraining as a lawyer along with mature students who are currently studying law or on the LPC or GDL.

The free event will include two presentations. The first will be an introductory talk covering the steps to qualification and an insight into the work of lawyers and the second will offer top tips on how to write winning applications and how to survive interviews/assessment days. These will be followed by informal networking with leading commercial law firms
over drinks and canapes.

A mid-career journalist who has signed up for the unique event said: “Changing careers from journalism into the law isn’t easy. I need advice on how to convince recruiters that I mean business. Hopefully this event will do the trick.”

The event will take place on 1 December at 5.30pm. For more information go to l2b.thelawyer.com/not2late.
