The Law Lords are considering whether to hear an appeal questioning insurance time limits. Kuwait Airways Corporation is seeking leave to challenge a Court of Appeal decision in May upholding a High Court ruling over an insurance claim relating to 15 aircraft, spares and equipment trapped at Kuwait Airport when the Iraqis invaded. The High Court dismissed its claim for more than $300m against the Kuwait Insurance Co SAK. The Lords have now put consideration of whether to let the appeal go ahead on hold pending consideration of possible objections from Kuwait Insurance.
