Kuit Steinart Levy has boosted its contentious IP offering with the hire of new practice head Ian Morris, the former head of Manchester-based Berg Legal’s intellectual property team. Morris has been an intellectual property specialist in Manchester for 30 years and co-authored ‘The Modern Law of Design’. Morris is keen to work with partner Colin Hoffman, who heads Kuits’ non-contentious IP practice, and says the firm will be recruiting more lawyers to the team. He joins as a consultant. Morris said: ‘I have known Colin professionally throughout my career and highly respect his work in the IP field. The opportunity to work alongside him within such a significant practice as Kuits was irresistible.’ Kuits executive partner Robert Levy commented: ‘With Ian and Colin working side by side we will now boast two of the leading IP specialists in the North West and we are very excited at this prospect.’
