Accounting giant KPMG is targeting law firm associates as part of its latest business development drive ahead of an expected boom in restructuring work.
KPMG's restructuring group is teaming up with the firm's busiest unit, the forensic accounting team, to invite associates to its first-ever associates' networking night at Tower Bridge next Thursday night (20 September) as it seeks to develop closer links with law firms.
A KPMG spokesperson said: "We want to build our ties with the legal community, not just with the top level of partners, but all levels. Associates are an important part of the legal community that we want to reach.
"We felt that there's so many events for partners, sometimes associates get overlooked. Associates are the partners of the future."
KPMG plans to use the event to foster relationships with more than 100 associates expected to attend. If successful the networking night could become an annual event.
