Knights switches to modern home after two centuries

AFTER 227 years, Staffordshire law firm Knight & Sons has moved from Newcastle-under-Lyme town centre to purpose-built offices on the outskirts of the town.

The move was the result of months of planning and is considered a new chapter in the firm's history. Senior Partner Tony Bell says: “Although it is with some sadness that we have left our historic home, it was imperative to meet the demands of a modern progressive legal practice.”

He says the move allows “for much needed expansion of office accommodation following a period of significant growth over the last 10 years”.

The firm has doubled in size in the last five years.

The new premises offer larger offices, special seminar facilities and more meeting rooms, enabling Knight & Sons to develop its range of legal services.

Marketing partner Ian White says staff and clients have responded positively to the move and such a big commitment to the future is seen by local business people as indicative of an upturn in the local economy.
