The Lawyer Global Litigation Top 50 report is the only ranking of international law firms by litigation and arbitration revenue and is essential reading for anyone seeking to benchmark their litigation and dispute resolution practices...
This year, The Lawyer’s annual ranking of the largest UK law firms by turnover is available as an interactive, digital benchmarking tool. For the first time this will allow you to manipulate each data set against the metrics of your choice.
A software package designed to draft international contracts has been launched by Kluwer Law International.
Global Law Practice Systems relies on a series of questions about a proposed agreement to build a customised contract. The package features warnings of potential risks to users, plus memoranda prepared by law firms in 56 countries. The system allows draft contracts to be edited on screen.
The package has been developed by US lawyers Ken Slade, of Hale & Dorr, and Anne Stone, of Morgan Lewis & Bockius.
The system currently covers five agreements: international distribution, commercial agency, licensing, value-added reseller and sale of goods.
One lawyer who has seen the package said that while it might be useful as a guidance tool, he thought that much of the package would have to be rewritten to comply with in-house style and requirements, and that the contract would still have to be referred to foreign counsel.
Each contract package costs £1,885, apart from the licensing package which costs £2,500, excluding VAT.
