K&L Gates swells Frankfurt team with addition of litigation partner

K&L Gates has added a litigation partner to its Frankfurt team, bringing the number of partners in the office to 10.
Johann von Pachelbel joins the US firm from the Frankfurt office of Swedish outfit Mannheimer Swartling.
His departure leaves Mannheimer with two partners and 12 other lawyers in Frankfurt. The Swedish firm also has an office in Berlin.
Von Pachelbel was co-head of Mannheimer’s German disputes practice between 2007 and 2011.
The hire is designed to help the expansion of K&L Gates’s disputes practice and specifically arbitration, and continues a hiring programme that has recently seen the recruitment of two associates.
