K&L Gates has underlined its global coverage by naming 44 new partners across three continents in this year’s partnership promotions round.
The Pittsburgh-headquartered firm’s newly promoted lawyers will join the partnership on 1 March. The majority - 37 - are based in the US with the firm’s Pittsburgh and Washington DC offices scoring six new partners each.
Europe has five new partners with just one in London - corporate specialist Thomas Sibert. K&L Gates has also made up two partners in Hong Kong.
“This year’s entering class of partners represents the diversity of locations and practice disciplines of a global law firm,” said Peter Kalis, K&L Gates chairman and global managing partner.
