  • As a lawyer practicing in Istanbul, I wish Kinstellar the best of luck. In addition to luck though, they will need courtesy, corporate etiquette and sound judgment. Supposing it is true, the "feedback" Jason Mogg says they've had about the Turkish legal market is the kind of thing a wise man would only talk about privately.

When you publicly flaunt your firm as the long-awaited conqueror coming to fill a quality void, you only call into question your own ability to deliver anything of quality in the first place.

As I was saying, best of luck...

  • Excellent comment from NG. Mogg's comments are extremely arrogant and dismissive, especially coming from a firm that has been delivering highly inconsistent performance accross the region. They also display a mentality that local knowledge does not matter, which does not sit well with the realities of Turkey. Hopefully the Istanbul team (which includes a number of really decent people) will be able to build a strong practice despite this type of thinking at the center.
