Insurance firm Keoghs has hired Steve Thomas, formerly technical claims director for general insurance giant Zurich.
Thomas, who was instrumental in introducing reform of the volume claims market, has joined the firm as director of its volume claims management services (CMS) unit.
The firm said he would be responsible for pre-litigation claims-handling within the CMS division. In March, the firm appointed former Axa chief executive Peter Hubbard as a non-executive director.

I bet there are not many qualified lawyers in this CMS unit. As a result of the reforms Steve introduced at Zurich costs were certainly reduced but expertise went out of the window.
