Insurance firm Kennedys has raided DLA Piper’s Birmingham office for eight fee-earners to ramp up its liability and professional negligence capabilities in the region.
Insurance ;firm Kennedys has raided DLA Piper’s Birmingham office for eight fee-earners to ramp up its liability and professional negligence capabilities in the region.
The firm has taken on liability partner Radd Seiger and associate Reena Suri, who will soon be followed by four more fee-earners.
DLA Piper insurance professional indemnity head Eamon Mooney will join Kennedys shortly to head the firm’s professional negligence ;team ;in Birmingham, bringing two fee-earners with him.
Kennedys senior partner Nick Thomas said: “This is further evidence of the trend whereby insurance expertise is consolidating.”
This year has so far seen Kennedys ;take ;over Reynolds Porter Chamberlain’s Tiverton office, merge with Davies Lavery and launch in Manchester with a three-lawyer team from Halliwells and the acquisition of Kershaw Abbott Solicitors.
