Insurance law firm Kennedys has announced plans to open an office in Manchester.
Next year, Kennedys will take over One Fenchurch Avenue, putting the firm at the heart of the insurance industry, said the firm.
The firm currently has six offices in United Kingdom. Three offices are located in London - Chiswell Street, Lloyd’s Avenue and Mark Lane - while there is one office in each Belfast, Chelmsford and Cambridge.
Kennedys also currently practises in Dubai, Hong Kong, Madrid, New Zealand and Sydney.
Ric Martin, Kennedys’ chief executive officer said that the firm’s aim was to be where its clients wants it to be, which has led it to not only look to open the Manchester office but also develop a network of international offices.
“We are seeing an increasing trend among our insurance clients to establish national and international panels and to insist that their claims handlers only use firms on those panels,” said Martin. “Manchester is the obvious choice as it is a significant legal centre in the UK and it has a strong insurance base.”
