US law firm Katten Muchin Rosenman has merged with niche UK hedge funds practice MW Cornish Solicitors to launch in London.
The UK office will be a specialist hedge fund, money manager and financial institution practice.
The new office, which will be known as Katten Muchin Rosenman Cornish, will be led by hedge fund specialist Martin Cornish, the former principal of MW Cornish Solicitors.
Arthur Hahn, partner and national chair of the Katten Muchin Rosenman Financial Services Group, explained that the London office was being established to bolster the firm’s developing financial services group.
He said that the London practice would primarily focus on offering the group’s existing US-based and international hedge fund, financial intermediaries and exchange clients a European service.
The new office will be based in Frederick's Place Old Jewry.
