Kalamazoo appoints legal adviser

JANET Humphries has been appointed group legal adviser for Birmingham-based Kalamazoo Computer Group.

According to the specialist computer solutions and print systems supplier, she will play a major role in an aggressive acquisition programme planned for 1995.

Humphries took up her new post, heading a team of four in-house lawyers, at the beginning of January. She replaces John Perrott, who set up the department three years ago, but has now moved back to his old firm, the Wolverhampton construction company Tarmac.

Perrott is now divisional legal manager at the newly created professional services division.

Before her move to Kalamazoo, Humphries was a legal adviser for the 3i Group.

Her new responsibilites include company disposals, commercial agreements and commercial property.
