Jones Day has opened its first office in Latin America by launching an eight-partner branch in Mexico City.
The office was created after Jones Day merged with local firm De Ovando y Martinez del Campo and will focus on corporate, finance, infrastructure and real estate work. Fernando de Ovando will run the office, which also features 12 associates.
Jones Day and De Ovando have been in partnership for more than 20 years. Jones Day managing partner Stephen Brogan said: “We’re confident the team joining us in Mexico City will enhance our ability to provide the highest level of service to our clients.”
