Jones Day’s London office has suffered the loss its first legacy Gouldens partner since the two firms merged over a year ago.
Real estate and structured finance partner Christopher Berry is joining the London office of Hogan & Hartson.
Berry, who has been a partner at Jones Day since 1986, has extensive experience in advising lenders on securing commercial real estate and counted Royal Bank of Scotland as one of his key clients.
Hogan & Hartson’s London managing partner Garry Pegg, said: “Hogan & Hartson is very honest about having ambitious plans and targets. A number of key practice areas have been identified, one of them being real estate. The appointment of Christopher Berry is very much part of our plan and we are delighted he’ll be joining us to increase the growing numbers.”
Berry’s departure date is still under negotiation.
