Holborn and City-based insurance litigation practice Jarvis & Bannister is splitting up.
The firm's joint senior partner Bill Jarvis, fellow partner Robert Wilson and assistant Christopher Odell will be joining insurance litigation firm Hextall Erskine this week.
Leading aviation litigation lawyer Tim Scorer, who leaves at the end of the month, is to join Dibb Lupton Alsop.
It is understood that Scorer will be joined at Dibbs by Frere Cholmeley Bischoff aviation partner Mark Franklin, but Franklin is still in negotiation with his partners.
Jarvis & Bannister, founded 14 years ago by Jarvis and Alan Bannister, will change its name to Bannisters. Its EC3 office, which opened with the recruitment of Scorer five years ago, will close at the end of April.
Alan Bannister said the five remaining partners would continue with corporate insurance work from the Holborn office.
Jarvis said he and his team were "delighted" to be joining Hextalls where "we know a number of partners well". He added: "We have several mutual clients, so we believe 0we will dovetail very effectively."
