It's been a good week for…

Pupil power. Bill Clinton's former student Susan Webber Wright demanded her travelling expenses from the President for a visit she made to the Whitehouse. Oh yes, and Wright, now Judge Wright, also found her former teacher in contempt of court after he gave an "intentionally false" testimony about his relationship with Monica Lewinsky during questioning in the Paula Jones harassment case. Pupils, interns; it seems they're all down on him in one way or another.

Former solicitor Gabrielle Ross' range of designer lingerie got full-page (un)coverage in The Sun. The range includes a pinstripe bra, which she says will appeal to "City girls".

The future of American legal practice. The New York State Bar Association's Outstanding Young Lawyer of 1999 attracted the eye of a Manhattan federal judge. Unfortunately, it was only to uphold a jury's $385,000 (u240,000) damages award against the lawyer on fraud and malpractice claims.
