The move has been planned for several months but required an official partner vote from CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre and CMS Hasche Sigle. The merger will create one of the largest international law firms in Russia, with 130 lawyers including 22 partners.
The office will be branded as CMS and will be headed by Hasche Sigle Moscow managing partner John Hammond. David Cranfield, managing partner of Camerons in Moscow, and Jean-François Marquaire, managing partner of Lefebvre in Moscow, will become joint managing directors of CMS in Russia.
