Italian firm Pavia e Ansaldo has added a 10-strong team to its Russian capabilities through a merger with Italian-Russian outfit Studio Associato Legale Tributario (Salt).
The merger adds two partners, Sergio Forelli and Andrey Vorobjov, to Pavia e Ansaldo’s ranks in Moscow along with a team of associates.
Salt was established in 2006 by members of Ernst & Young’s CIS legal department. It advises clients on commercial law and litigation matters.
Pavia e Ansaldo has been present in Russia since 1998, when it opened in Moscow. The firm also has a St Petersburg office, opened in 2004, and employs 20 legal and tax experts in the country.
The firm’s Russia head Vittorio Loi said the addition of the team from Salt would boost the firm’s work with Russian clients intending to invest in Italy.
